LCSD fees are consistently competitive among Central Okanagan full service dance studios.
Annual tuition for a one-hour per week dance class is $520 (before discounts). 45 minute preschool and combo classes are $455 annually (before discounts).
Tuition is for the entire 9-month season, mid September through mid June. If you choose to pay monthly, the amount will reflect a percentage of the total cost, not the number of classes in a month.
Discounts: A five per cent discount applies for those who pay at registration for the entire year. We offer family and multi-family tuition discounts ranging from 5% to 30%. Saturday classes are discounted by 20%, reflecting extra holiday weekends when the studio is closed.
Tuition can be divided into monthly payments by post-dated cheques or with a credit card. A $50 administration fee, plus first and last month tuition, is charged to those who pay monthly in cash.
At registration, there is a one-time fee of $20 per student to cover SOCAN charges and registration costs. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and debit.
Registration fees are non-refundable. Costume fees may be refundable, depending on the date of withdrawal.
Tuition fees will not be refunded after end February, without medical authorization.
LCSD reserves the right to charge a MINIMUM of one-month tuition after notice of withdrawal from class.
Notice of withdrawal must be given in writing before the 1st of the month to the LCSD office (not to the teacher) by a parent or guardian (not by the child.)
Costumes are required for the year-end production in June.
Costume fees are generally $60 (pre-school & combo classes); $70 (6-12yr); and $80 (12 & up) per class for recreational dancers. Students in competitive classes are required to pay a $90-per-dance deposit.
We issue about 5 general newsletters throughout the year via Email. They contain important information, potentially about class changes, fundraising opportunities, and details about the year-end production. It is VERY important to advise the office if your email address changes.Holidays, production dates, special classes, etc are also posted on our Calendar.
Check us out on Facebook for news, links and more!
Please notify LCSD if your student is unable to attend class. Please encourage your child to build a commitment to their dance team, which means missing class only for illness and truly important engagements.
IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT THAT THEY ATTEND ALL CLASSES AND REHEARSALS NEAR THE END OF THE DANCE YEAR.
The year-end production is generally the second weekend in June. There are two shows in total; typically, recreational classes will perform in one of the two shows and competitive dancers will perform in both shows. In April, you will be notified in which show/s your dancer will participate.
All rehearsals and performances are held at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre.
